ADOPTION PENDING - Sherlock came through his neuter surgery just fine and is quickly making himself at home in his foster home.  
He seems to be completely housebroken, and hasn't had a single accident or marking incident in the time he's been with them.    

This is what they say about him:

Fortunately he seems to be eating normally now and should be putting on weight.  
Our vet said he's at least 10 pounds, maybe 15, underweight so he should end up around 60 if he's done filling out.  
Sherlock is gaining weight and energy daily.  As he gets more trusting of us, he's becoming more playful and puppy-like.  
I've been watching him very carefully at feeding time, going as far as taking his food away 
after he's started eating and have seen no food aggression at all. 

He also needs to be taught some manners, and we're working on his jumping up on people.  
He now knows 'sit' and yesterday for the first time rolled over to get some belly rubs.
 
I don't think I'd suggest he go to a home with small children.  
He adores everyone, but he's a big, uncoordinated goofball and I'd worry that he would just bowl them over without meaning to hurt them.  
He's really good with our cat, too.  Mostly he ignores the kitty, but it's obvious that he's quite interested in him.
 
The biggest thing for him is affection.  He wants as much as he can get, from absolutely anyone.  He is unhappy when we leave him so 
a home where the people are home a lot would be perfect for him.  He shouldn't be left alone in the yard at all!
 
He gets along with our basset just fine, though she's starting to get a bit jealous of the attention we're giving him.  
 
Lastly, I think he was abused at some point.  If we raise our voices to him much at all, he cowers down onto the ground and tries to hide his head.  
 
I think he'll be an absolutely fabulous dog and can probably easily get past the issues he has.  He's a total love bug.
