Call him a basset "wannabe." Meet Snoopy, aka Jude! Snoopy is an adorable one-year-old neutered male mixed breed dog, who was masquerading as a basset hound mix at the Sacramento County Shelter. Fooled us! We thought he looked like a basset mix, too, but his DNA test said otherwise. Snoopy is smart, energetic & sweet as can be! He has learned to use the doggie door, plays wonderfully with other dogs, is crate trained, travels well, adores kids & gets along well with cats that don’t run. He is a snuggler too, loving to nap on laps or curled up with you on the bed! He recently discovered space heaters & will completely relax when laying in front of one!
Snoopy is a little guy, weighing just 35 pounds but is solid muscle. He plays hard with the bigger dogs in his foster home. He loves chewing on soft toys & will chase a tennis ball! He recently went on a 3 1/2 mile hike & would have gone further if his foster mom would have kept going! He’s working on his recall when he’s outside, but there are so many distractions !
Snoopy is currently being fostered in the Sacramento area but his foster parents are always willing to travel for meet n greets! Let us know if you’d like to meet the compact bundle of snuggly, playful joy!
