Georgia is a ball of love who is house broken and uses a doggy door. She also learned to ring a bell to let her foster parents know she wants out. She has a gentle temperament and shows no signs of aggression. Her foster parents are able to remove food, toys and treats from her easily. Georgia is a lap dog and spends most of her day on the couch wedged between her foster mom and the cushions. She also loves a nice sunny place in the yard to lie down.
Georgia does well with other dogs but isn't interested in playing with other dogs. She gets a bit intimidated when her foster sisters rough-house near her. Her foster parents feel she would do best as an only dog or as a companion for an adult/older/smaller dog. Georgia can be a bit grabby for treats but her foster family has been working with her on taking them nicely and she's doing remarkably well. She is not recommended for children under the age of 5.
Georgia has separation anxiety and will need someone who is home a lot and who has the time and patience to work with her. She is crate-trained but also does well left loose in the home for short periods, but she does howl and cry.
Georgia is spayed, negative for heart worm and current on vaccinations and heart worm/flea preventative. All she needs now is a very special home to take her in and love her as much as she deserves. If you have a vacancy on your couch or on the rug next to your feet, Georgia is the sweetheart for you.
