****THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING FOR SACRAMENTO CANINE PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE****Roscoe is a sweet dog who is looking for a forever home. He is good with other dogs and friendly with people, both children and adults. My niece said he chased the cats at the ranch where he'd been being fostered with her for the past three or four weeks, but he is not on leash there and had free rein of the property.

My niece took in Roscoe temporarily when his most recent owners got divorced/moved. Apparently, poor Roscoe has had a couple of different homes, so we want to make sure his next home is his last. According to my niece and her boyfriend he is a very sweet and loving dog who is friendly with everyone he meets.

Roscoe's previous home had kids in the family, and I was told Roscoe had been an outside only dog that got very little attention; but we want him to be a big part of the family with his new adopters and no longer just a lawn ornament.

I located Roscoe's previous vet and found out he is 3 1/2 years old and had last been to this vet three years ago. Roscoe is neutered and has now been vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested (negative), and is on HW preventative and flea/tick preventative.

I took Roscoe to my friend's house who is a dog trainer. He met a cat, a bunny, a chicken, two turtles and several dogs ranging in size from about 3 lbs. to about 140 lbs, and he did fine with all of them. (We never recommend leaving dogs unattended with these kinds of other pets.) Roscoe also gets along fine with my dogs.

Roscoe appears to be housebroken and has good house manners so far. It is unknown for sure whether he was ever an inside dog, but we were told he was outside only most recently. He is inside at my house most of the time and doesn't like to go outside. It seems like he's scared of being left out there, so doesn't want to go out.

Adoption contract, home safety check and $175 adoption donation apply.
