Darlene is a lovely dog who was an unclaimed stray at the Stockton shelter.  Darlene is friendly with people and good with other dogs.  She loves to chase cats, but has a healthy respect for cats that don't run, so she could be OK with a cat that is not afraid of dogs, such as the one she is living with in her foster home.

Darlene will howl if left behind, but she is housebroken and very well mannered in the house, so she can be left inside where the noise will not bother the neighbors.  Since she gets along well with other dogs, she might also be a candidate for acceptance in doggie daycare.

Darlene would fit into almost any home.  She would be a wonderful family dog, or a companion for a couple or single person of any age.  She would love a doggie companion, but with enough human interaction, a canine brother or sister is not required.
