Learn more about the Basset Hound.
"Love sponge", craving the attention of her people, describes this beautiful 60+ pound gal who came to GGBR from the Fremont Shelter. Ripley loves to go on walks, ride in the car, laze in the sun, surf countertops for food, chase squirrels...behavior typical for a basset. She is very smart and learns quickly how to get what she wants. Ripley came in with her left ear torn in several places, it was an old injury which has been cleaned up by our veterinarian to give it less of a mangled look. We don't know what trauma caused the damage but it might explain her reluctance to befriend other dogs. Ripley is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. She is ready to go to the special family who is willing and able to help Ripley adapt to being comfortable and happy around other dogs. |
