Buster is a very sweet, gorgeous 4 year old neutered male. His is current on all vaccinations and is heartworm negative. He was recently neutered, but prior to the surgery, he was still very much at ease with other dogs, including intact males. Buster is great in the city (currently being fostered in the Mission area of San Francisco) and is not bothered by loud noises, bicycles, skateboards, motorcycles or street traffic. He loves people and loves getting attention. He has been around infants in strollers, small and older children as well as an elderly couple. He is very sweet and friendly around all. He currently lives with another basset hound. He suffers from separation anxiety, especially in a new/strange locale, however having another dog with him goes along way to abate the anxiety. He loves to be with his humans and is extremely affectionate. It also appears that he has had training, as he is responsive to verbal commands, comes quickly to his name, sits when directed and for treats and has a very gentle mouth. He loves to play both with humans and other dogs. He's relatively quiet, but will bark/howl when lonely or excited when playing with other dogs, or needs to go outside. He will make a family or an individual a GREAT pet, but will need another dog around to keep him company.
