Meet 4 year old male sweetie pie, named Soos.  Soos is a Black/Tan basset hound, who came to GGBR from the Merced Shelter.  Soos gets along great with children and doesn’t seem to care much about squirrels. (We can imagine that he probably will get along great with cats.)  He seems interested in playing, but doesn’t seem to know “how”. Soos likes to be close to his people, but can be left alone for a few hours without a problem.  He loves to also be outside and just hang out in the yard.  ALERT, Soos seems to be an escape artist, so needs a home with a securely fenced-in yard! Like most bassets, he’s a barker, but will stop when told to stop. He has super soft, shiny, smooth fur.  When he puts on a few more pounds he will be gorgeous.

Soos needs a home where he can get lots of attention.  He likes to go for walks, but is not a super active dog.  He loves to please and will do very well with positive training.  He’s good with other dogs as long as they are not too active.
