Allie is a unique girl, from her adorable underbite to the way she rubs her head on you like a cat. She's small and playful, making you forget she's already 9 years old, but she can also spend a whole day snuggling on the couch while you binge watch the latest steaming series on Hulu or Netflix. Allie spent her life in a home where she was the only dog, but she loves her foster siblings and tries to play with them everyday (unfortunately for Allie, one has decided she's too old to play and the other only knows how to play with a ball, as you may have seen in the videos). In addition to getting long with other dogs, she's good with cats and chickens, displaying no prey drive at all. Her previous owner also reports that she's good with children. Allie would absolutely love to be your new bed-mate, but is also getting used to sleeping on the couch with the other dogs instead – she whines most of the night if she has to sleep in the kitchen though. She's spent her life with someone always by her side, so she doesn't like to be alone and would probably do best in a home where time left home alone is limited, such as with a retired person, stay-at-home parent, someone who works from home or works only part time, etc.. Allie is potty trained in the sense that she knows she is supposed to go outside and will happily and reliably use a doggy-door if you have one. If you don't have one and don't want to get one, you'll have to keep an eye on her, keep her on a regular potty break routine, or teach her how to alert you when she needs to go outside, or accidents will happen. She is very smart, so if you have experience with training dogs to ring a bell or bark when they need out, you should have no problems teaching Allie.

Allie is one of the sweetest fosters I've ever had and has so much love to give. I'm sure you'll fall in love with her too.
