Laverne, who is estimated to be 18 months of age, came to GGBR from the Los Banos Animal Shelter. She is a lovely basset, phyically beautiful and with a very loving personality. She gets along well with other dogs and loves receiving attention from people. She is active, easy going and happy. 

When she came to GGBR it was obvious she had had a litter recently as her mammary glands were still very  swollen. Those have diminished since she came into GGBR foster care. 

LaVerne needs some 'fine tuning' of her housetraining. Most of the time she urinates outside but there are times when she piddles inside.

Special Needs: She was diagnosed with whip worms and is on a 3 month course of medication for that condition.
