Sassy is a beautiful and sweet 3 year old long haired basset. She seems to have had a rough start at life as she is very timid and shy. She gets spooked easily when unsure of situations and is not a fan of loud noises. A quiet, calm home would be best for her. She has no problems with kids, but teens would probably be best as younger children startle her with their unpredictable behaviors and sounds. She likes and seems to be comforted by other dogs, so a friend would be nice to show her the ropes in her new home. She is also OK with cats. Sassy loves to spend hours laying in the sun, to curl up on the couch, go on walks and have her tummy rubbed. She is slowly warming up to her foster family as she learns to trust those around her. She is not house trained but is trying to learn by following the routine of the bassets around her. She needs a loving and patient family who can take the time to help her come out of her shell and blossom. Are you her the forever family Sassy has been dreaming of?
