Timid Esther needs a special home....

Esther is a very sweet houndette, just waiting for her own forever home...  She will need a very understanding, patient and loving home.  Here is what her foster home said at the beginning of January, 2010:

she's really shy (equally with men, women and children--she's not more scared of men or children which seems good:)), but will follow along on a leash just fine.  She doesn't make any noise when crated.  She's doing pretty well on housetraining.  She isn't the best eater--will wait a long time after food gets put in her crate to eat it.  She's 30 pounds now and could stand to gain at least 5 pounds, but she's a tiny gal.  She's been fine with all our other dogs.

and an update on February 1:
She's still super shy, but she's getting used to the routine and within that routine I see improvement.  If she's free in the house she will come in the living room when we're watching TV and lay on one of the dog beds.  She is eating better and has gained weight so she looks better.
