Learn more about the Basset Hound. Good natured 7-year-old
James (or "Junior", as he is listed on his vet record) is energetic and playful. His foster mom says he does the "Basset 500" around the house every morning, barking and wanting to play. James is friendly, good and tolerant with other dogs, is fine with (dog-savvy) cats. He can be vocal, and he has a very funny "croak" when he barks. James' foster home is working on his potty training, and also on his tendency to "cruise counters". Fortunately, James is crate trained. He will sleep on a dog bed, or contentedly in a crate overnight without a peep. All-in-all, James seems like a great dog. Check back soon for updates and some better photos.
