A rose by any other name would smell as sweet". Rosebud is one of the sweetest hounds I have ever met. She walked into our house and made herself right at home, there was no adjustment period. She is a very girly and flirty Basset, with a sassy personality. She is also very affectionate and snuggly. She is one of the fastest dogs at the dog park but also capable of flat basset-ing anywhere at anytime. She is housetrained and incredibly smart, gets along with all other dogs, people, kids etc. She has yet to meet a cat so we are not sure how she feels about them. She doesn't like to be "bothered" when taking a nap and might let out a grumble but has never shown *any* aggression, we think she would be better in a home with older kids who will respect her "requests".She loves to sleep along the back of the couch like a cat and has a cute habit of washing her face with both of her paws like a kitten. She definitely has some cute cat like mannerisms. Rosebud is a wonderful little girl that would make a wonderful loving and loyal family member. Rosebud acts like 7 going on 4 as she still has quite a bit of energy. She exudes personality to the max and makes you just smile to watch her. Half cat, half dog who knew it could be done?
