Cassie/Bessie, the 5 mo Basset Hound mix pup is so cute, friendly & playful. She has some irregularities in her right hip joint, but her gait is improving every day.  Her shelter ID number is A309668.

Here is what a shelter volunteer had to say about her:

'I spent an hour with her today - she is precious... She practiced sit and touch and her favorite - weaving through legs! So attentive, smart and eager. She looks at you for approval almost every step she walks and is so sweet and soft. What a winner!
She loves to cuddle and play. Her favorites are belly rubs :o)
Great little girl.."

The shelter staff made the following notes:

SPECIAL ADOPTION: Cassie is a friendly and playful puppy. She is very people centered and loves interacting with them. Cassie is learning to fetch and seems rather new to toys. She will benefit from people who have the time to play with her, which will increase bonding with her new family. If there are kids in Cassie's new home, older ones will be fine and dandy. When Cassie came to the shelter as a stray, there was some weakness and lameness in her hind legs which x-rays showed were irregularities in her right hip joint. She may have had some physical trauma but seems to be doing much better now. Her gait is not completely normal yet but will probably continue to improve. Cassie needs adopters who will take her to the vet if she has problems such as lameness or weakness.
