Roscoe, on the other hand, is the easy going sibling (Fred is the dominant male). He is slightly overweight and could stand to lose about 10 pounds. He is not as agile as Fred, but he is just as active in the chase. They do most everything together and are not apart for very long. Roscoe likes his nap time and does not like to be disturbed from his slumber. He snapped at me when I got a little too friendly and he can be tempermental if he is surprised out of a deep sleep. I would be cautious with him around small children. The previous owners had a 5yr old girl and, they claim, never had any problems. Roscoe is more stubborn than his brother and needs a little work to keep him well mannered. But, he also is a great hound, loving, and really enjoys his belly rubs as well. I do not want to paint a ugly picture because both of these dogs are exceptional pets. They will be an absolute joy for a family with older kids and should go fast in adoption.
