Brodie is a real outgoing hound – he sounds like an elephant in heat when you come home because he's so excited to see you.  His tail is always wagging and he has to meet every person and dog we run into on our walks.  The only thing we've found that is an issue is loud male voices.  If you remember at the spring fling, he was great all day and then he became really skittish towards the end of the day.  That's when the guys parked up on the deck and were drinking and talking really loudly.  Yesterday we went for a walk and he was great until we started to pass by a house where a large man was talking loudly and he froze and wouldn't go any farther.  It was clear that it was the male voice that was scaring him and once we got past the house he was fine. I don't know if he was abused by a man or what but that is clearly something that really scares him to death.
