5 year old Annamae is as sweet and loving as her name! She was reluctantly surrendered to GGBR by her owner who was not able to spend enough time with her due to work commitments. Being a very social gal, Annamae had a difficult time being in an apartment alone for hours each day. She can manage being alone for a few hours at a time, especially if she has access to a fenced yard. She enjoys attention from all adults, children and other dogs and strives for more. Cuddling, sunbathing, and snuggling are her favorite things, and of course, being a basset, she loves to eat. She likes going on walks, when she is in the mood...if not, her stubborn basset side shows, and she digs her feet in and refuses to budge.
Sweet Annamae is spayed, up to date on her immunizations, is heartworm negative, housetrained, and is in good health. Annamae apparently has not lived with children and while she is friendly with and enjoys children in social situations, it is not known just how she would be with children on a daily living basis. She is reported to be good with cats.
