Introducing one of GGBR's newest members, Magnus.  The name Magnus truly means great and his is one awesome hound.  Magnus just recently joined our family and is looking for that perfect home that will love him forever. He is going to be quite the catch for the lucky family that brings this guy into their life.  While the shelter told me that thought he was was 2 or younger I personally think that he is closer to 1-1 ½ yrs. young as he has a lot of younger puppy ways. Magnus is a joy to be around, a very loving boy but he is also a very busy boy who loves to play. Magnus will be up to date on his vaccines and is scheduled to be neutered on Feb. 6th. (Please do not mention his neverminds will go missing as we are keeping that a secret.)

While I realize we are still in the honeymoon stage of his assessment, I have seen nothing that a bit of training will not correct and he seems eager to please. You can touch him all over, grab his feet, pull his tail, put your hand in is food when he is eating, you can pull his collar and nothing seems to faze him. He loves attention and likes nothing more than to snuggle his head in the neck area. He is very gentle when taking treats. He is a bit touchy about his ears but he has a little ear infection right now but he handles the treatment great. He is responding to leash training well and learning to sit and not jump up on people. If you like that deep houndy voice Magnus is definitely the boy for you. His voice resonates when he is in play mode. He is very curious about cats. He does bark at my Sachi who could care less about his sniffing and barking but he will give chase if they run like my Sebastian does. I think once he gets used to what they are the chasing will end as it has with my other fosters. Magnus gets along fabulously with other dogs and just wants to play no matter how big or small they are. He rides great in the car.  While during our first evening home we had some “accidents” once Magnus learned how to use that doggie door there has never been another issue.

Magnus would do best in a home with older children just because he is so playful and young. I believe he also would need another dog friend in the home to play with as he is a very energetic boy and loves having doggie playmates. The one thing Magnus needs most is that perfect, special family that is meant for just him. That Furever Home and Family that will make him forget his past and give him the bright and loving future he deserves.

Are you that perfect family?
