We would like you to meet the Basset named Snoopy. He is a happy healthy houndy boy. Snoopy spent his pre Golden Gate days as an outside dog. He has worked hard and is ready to be a great companion to his new family. His favorite place has become wherever his "humans" happen to be. Snoopy gets on well with other dogs large and small. He likes cats - but not in a good way. As far as we know, children have not been a part of his life, but he might enjoy the attention of older children.
He is pretty new at this house stuff, so should not be left alone for long periods of time. He likes his crate and could safely be left there for short periods, when his owner is busy or needs to be away from home. Currently Snoopy sleeps in a crate in the living room, but looks forward to graduating to a doggy bed. Because he is a hound, he is quite food motivated and can be very tempted by the kitchen counters. He can be easily distracted by a little schmoozing and his very favorite - a belly rub.
Snoopy is looking for a home with an experienced dog family, who can give him lots of love and the help he needs to transition into his new lifestyle. He wouldn't mind a dog friend - but no cats please.
Snoop Dog has a big heart, and is eager to share his devotion.
